High-grade Golden Age Green Lantern #1, Certified by CGC, Lights up ComicLink Sale
Posted on 1/26/2026
Like a mystical artifact powered by a gem, ComicLink’s Winter Featured Auction, which opens on February 13, 2026, draws its power from a potent lineup of amazing comics graded by Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®)!
Among the highlights of this sale is a Green Lantern #1 graded CGC 7.0. Published by DC Comics in Fall 1941, this issue marked the solo debut of DC Comics’ first Green Lantern, Alan Scott, following his introduction in All-American Comics #16 a year earlier. Created by writer Bill Finger and artist Martin Nodell, Scott was a departure from science-based heroes of the era, drawing his powers from a mystical green flame housed in a lantern and channeled through a ring vulnerable to wood.
Also available is an X-Men #12 graded CGC 9.8. Featuring the first full appearance of the unstoppable Juggernaut, this comic — written by Stan Lee with art by Jack Kirby — revealed that Cain Marko was the abusive stepbrother of Professor Charles Xavier, whose power stemmed from the mystical Crimson Gem of Cyttorak rather than mutation.
More comics are still being added to the auction before it opens on February 13.
