CGC is thrilled to welcome six of the comic book industry's biggest creators — Mark Bagley, Al Milgrom, Sam de la Rosa, Rick Parker, Tom DeFalco and David Michelinie — for an exclusive CGC Signature Series signing in collaboration with Little Giant Comics Old School Comic Show!
Mark Bagley has had an incredible career as an artist, working for both Marvel and DC throughout the years. In the 2000s, he was credited with being one of the top ten artists of the decade. He is best known for his work on Amazing Spider-Man and Ultimate Spider-Man. Bagley co-created one of the most memorable villains in the Spider-Man universe, Carnage. He also put his spin on the iconic Venom, with his rendition becoming one familiar to every Spider-Man fan. After Marvel, Bagley worked on the Trinity series for DC Comics, which featured Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. He also worked on Batman and Justice League of America during his time with DC. Bagley returned to Marvel and worked on Avengers Assemble, All-New X-Men, The Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and Venom.
Sam de la Rosa, currently drawing covers for Marvel and other publishers, is best known for his work on the fan-favorite Venom series Lethal Protector and Separation Anxiety. His start, however, was at DC Comics, where he worked on titles like Action Comics, Green Lantern and World’s Finest. Once he got to Marvel, he began working on popular characters such as Spider-Man, Venom, Carnage, Daredevil, Captain America and many others. He also worked on the first-ever Predator comic series for Dark Horse.
David Michelinie has been a professional writer for nearly 50 years, working for major publishers like Marvel and DC Comics. He has written more than 650 comic book stories throughout his exceptional career. He is best known for co-creating well-known characters in the Marvel Universe like Venom, Carnage, James Rhodes and Scott Lang, who have all been featured in multiple movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During his career, he has written across many genres, including Westerns, war, horror and superhero comics. Some of the many comic titles he has worked on include The Amazing Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Avengers, Web of Spider-Man, House of Mystery, Star Wars, Action Comics and Marvel Team-Up.
Al Milgrom began his career in the comic industry in the 1970s, working for Charlton Comics and Warren Publishing. He then joined Marvel Comics, where he is best known for his work on series such as Captain Marvel, Marvel Fanfare, The Avengers, The West Coast Avengers, Secret Wars, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and many more. During his time with DC Comics, Milgrom co-created the character Firestorm and worked on series like Detective Comics, The Superman Family and Strange Adventures. Some of his most recent work has been for Archie Comics, where he has worked on titles like Archie, Archie’s Double Digest, Betty & Veronica and Betty & Veronica Double Digest.
Tom DeFalco joined the comic book industry in 1972 and has written comics starring Spider-Man, Spider-Girl, Spider-Ham, Fantastic Four, Thor, Superman, Superboy, The Flintstones and Archie. He has also produced Spider-Man: The Ultimate Guide and Comic Creators on Spider-Man.
Rick Parker is a cartoonist best known for his work as the artist of the MTV Beavis and Butt-Head comic book series published by Marvel Comics. He was also the letterer for more than 1,200 comic books for Marvel (Spider-Man, Hulk, Captain America, Star Wars, Iron Man, G.I. Joe and many others). He has also released a graphic novel memoir, Drafted, about his service in the US Army during the Vietnam War, from Abrams ComicArts.
