With CGC’s CrossOver service, comics that are already graded and encapsulated by another company can be submitted for evaluation by CGC’s expert graders using CGC’s grading scale. After grading, books that receive a Universal Grade are encapsulated with the iconic CGC blue label in CGC’s state-of-the-art holder, which combines crystal-clear optics and the most advanced archival materials for superior display and preservation. What to Know About CrossOver
Ready to make the switch to CGC? Here’s how the CGC CrossOver service works:
- Comics submitted for CrossOver must be intact in another grading company’s holder.
- These comics will be removed by CGC from that company’s holder and graded according to CGC’s grading standards.
- They will then be encapsulated in a CGC holder with a CGC label bearing the CGC grade, description and unique certification number.
- Comics that have been signed and encapsulated in another grading company’s holder can also be submitted for CrossOver with JSA authentication for the signature. These comics will receive the prestigious CGC x JSA black and gold label. (Note: Comics graded and encapsulated by another grading company cannot be submitted for CGC Signature Series.)
How to Submit
Submitting to CGC CrossOver is quick and easy, and all comics certified by any other grading company are eligible. Simply select CrossOver as your “Primary Service” when filling out the online submission form; then choose an appropriate CrossOver tier based on the comic’s fair market value (FMV). The 20% discount will be automatically applied for a limited time only. If you have a signed comic, also include “JSA Autograph Authentication” as an add-on service.
Collectors can submit with just a free CGC account, but paid members save even more — an additional 10% off for Associate and Premium members and additional 20% for Elite members on top of the 20% CrossOver discount! Because CGC has been the most trusted grading service for decades, you can grade today with confidence for tomorrow.
Please note: When submitting through CGC’s CrossOver service, there is no guarantee that the grade assigned by CGC will be the same as the grade assigned by the other grading company. Manga publications certified by another grading company are not eligible for CGC's CrossOver service.
