CGC Discontinues Certification of Production Scripts

As part of our continued commitment to maintaining the highest standards of authenticity and consumer confidence, CGC® has decided to no longer accept production scripts for certification. The decision follows a recent increase in script submissions, driven in part by a spike in value for production materials.

After careful consideration, CGC has determined that the difficulties in authenticating production scripts mean this service is unsustainable at this time. To preserve the integrity of CGC’s services, uphold the company’s longstanding guarantee of authenticity, and ensure CGC certification is consistently providing value to customers, CGC has decided to discontinue certification services for production scripts.

CGC stands by its authentication guarantee on all previously certified scripts.

Any production scripts submitted to CGC prior to this announcement will be returned without certification, and all reject fees associated with those submissions will be waived. This move reflects CGC’s ongoing focus on protecting collectors and ensuring confidence in every item bearing our label.
