CGC Comics Registry Featured Set: The Swift Collection: Absolute Batman

DC's Absolute Universe launched in 2024, out of the events of Absolute Power and the DC All In Special #1. The new universe reimagined some of the publisher's most iconic heroes in a darker, more grounded continuity that stood apart from the main DC Universe, shaped instead by the cosmic influence of Darkseid, creating a world where hope and heroism had to emerge under far harsher circumstances. The line debuted with Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, and Absolute Superman — each offering bold new takes on familiar origins and relationships. It quickly expanded to include Absolute Flash, Absolute Green Lantern, Absolute Martian Manhunter, and Absolute Green Arrow, with additional titles continuing to broaden the universe while remaining accessible to both longtime fans and new readers.

From its debut, the Absolute Universe became one of DC's biggest publishing successes in years, earning its flagship series, Absolute Batman, an Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series and Best One-Shot (Absolute Batman Annual 2025) during the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con.

I remember taking my allowance and riding my bike to the local newsstand in Palm Beach - Main Street News - and buying superhero titles, especially those for Spider-Man (at the time, Amazing, Spectacular, Web of, and simply ‘Spider-Man’) and Superman (Action, Adventure, MoS, Superman),” The Swift Collection wrote on their Registry Profile.

• an Absolute Batman #15 graded CGC Signature Series 9.8 signed by Nick Dragotta and Scott Snyder
• an Absolute Batman #19 PCB Hobby Edition graded CGC 9.8
