In celebration of Batman Day, CGC Signature Series is excited to announce an exclusive Private Signing event with six members of the Bat-Family: Greg Capullo, Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta, Frank Martin, Mark Brooks, and Daniel Warren Johnson! Collectors can submit both comics and cards to this event.

Artist extraordinaire Greg Capullo is a legend in the field, having worked alongside Scott Snyder to create the immersive and exciting world of their Batman run. Capullo's previous works include (but are not limited to) Metal, Reborn, Spawn, Quasar, X-Force, The Creech, Haunt, and World of Warcraft, in addition to Album art for FFDP, Disturbed, and Korn.

Scott Snyder writes comic books! Growing up, he always wanted to write comics, but he ended up trying his hand at fiction first. Snyder got his MFA from Columbia University, published a book of short stories with The Dial Press in 2006 called Voodoo Heart, then finally broke into comics in 2009 and hasn't looked back since. He has worked extensively for DC Comics, writing such titles as Absolute Batman, Batman, Detective Comics, Justice League, the comic event books DC Dark Knights: Metal and Death Metal, and Swamp Thing, among others. He has also created a number of series with some great co-creators and partners — books like We Have Demons, Clear, Night of the Ghoul, Nocterra, American Vampire, Wytches, the Wake, AD: After Death, and more... He lives in New York with his wife, Jeanie, and our three boys. He is also a big fan of Elvis Presley.

Nick Dragotta is the co-creator of Absolute Batman and the creator of the new limited series from Image Comics, Ghost Cage. Prior to that, he was the artist/co-creator (with writer Jonathan Hickman) on the acclaimed series East of West. Earlier in his career, he was a longtime Marvel artist on such titles as Fantastic Four, Vengeance, X-Statix and more. Most notably, Dragotta co-created the character America Chavez, who was brought to life in the MCU’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in 2022.

Daniel Warren Johnson is an Eisner Award-winning artist and writer best known for series like Murder Falcon, Do a Powerbomb, Wonder Woman: Dead Earth and Beta Ray Bill: Argent Star. His first comic work was on a web-comic titled Space Mullet, which was later printed by Dark Horse Comics after his work on the series The Ghost Fleet. Other popular series Johnson has worked on include BRZRKR, Deadly Class, Firefly, The Flash, Hulk, Kick-Ass, and Absolute Batman Annual #1. He is currently working on the hit series Transformers for Image Comics.

Frank Martin is an Eisner Award-winning Brazilian colorist and cover artist whose work has helped define some of the most celebrated comics of the past two decades. Currently bringing the world of Absolute Batman to life alongside Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta, Martin previously collaborated with Dragotta and writer Jonathan Hickman on the acclaimed East of West, which earned him an Eisner Award nomination for Best Coloring. His extensive career includes work for DC, Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, and Skybound on major titles including Avengers, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Captain America, Daredevil, X-Men, Infinity, Absolute Carnage, King in Black, and more.

Because Martin is based in Brazil, obtaining his signature can be difficult for US collectors, making his first-ever CGC Private Signing a rare opportunity for fans to add the signature of the legendary colorist to their favorite books.

Mark Brooks is a Marvel illustrator known for his imaginative and bold cover art on titles such as X-Men Legacy, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers, Uncanny Avengers, Secret Avengers, and A+X. His most recent cover work is featured on Fearless Defenders, the new Marvel UK series, and Deadpool. His interior work includes AvX: Consequences; Wolverine & the X-Men: Alpha & Omega; Thor; Ultimate Spider-Man; and the acclaimed Uncanny X-Force. In 2016 Brooks gained critical acclaim and was nominated for the Eisner Award in two categories: Best penciler/inker and for best limited-series, for his work on the Han Solo Miniseries with writer Marjorie Liu, set between the original Star Wars film and The Empire Strikes Back. Mark Brooks continues to be a prominent figure in the comic book industry, admired for his versatility and artistic vision. His work remains highly sought after by fans and collectors alike, cementing his legacy as a skilled and influential comic artist.

CGC must receive all submissions for this event by November 13, 2026. The deadline for international submissions is two weeks earlier than the US deadline to allow time for delivery. If the Private Signing needs to be rescheduled, CGC will securely store all submissions in its vault until the event can be held.

After the submitted comics and cards are signed, CGC will grade and encapsulate them with an estimated turnaround time of six weeks. If CGC pressing for comics is also requested, the turnaround time is estimated at eight weeks. After grading and encapsulation, the collectibles will be shipped back to their owners.

To submit books for the signing:

Log onto your account or sign up for an account HERE.
Click Submit in the CGC website navigation and select Submission Forms.
Next to Comics / Magazines / Pulps, select Online Form.
Click Start New Order.

Put ALL ungraded books in window bags or they will not be accepted.
Books that are already certified by CGC, including CGC Signature Series books, can be submitted for this event. CGC will remove a CGC-certified book from its holder for an additional $5 fee.

Remarque, Sketch, and Signature Submission Guidelines

If you opted for a remarque, sketch, or signature with a limited number of spots, your books must be shipped within one week of placing your submission order. After shipping, you must email privatesignings@cgccomics.com with the following details:

Your order number
Your tracking number
The artist’s name you are sending books in for
The number of remarques, sketches, and limited-quantity signatures included in your order

Orders not shipped within the required timeframe may be subject to cancellation.

Please Note:

All submissions must be received by CGC no later than November 13, 2026, to qualify for this private signing event. No change requests will be accepted after November 13, 2026. The deadline for international submissions is two weeks earlier than the US deadline to allow time for delivery. Membership credits and paid membership discounts cannot be applied to CGC Private Signing fees, and submissions cannot be combined with other CGC Private Signing events. If you submit a CGC-graded collectible that needs to be removed from its original holder by CGC, the collectible will need to go through the certification and encapsulation process again, and there is no guarantee that it will receive the same grade. Marker color requests are welcome but not guaranteed. Marker color choice and signature placement are at the final discretion of the signer.
