CGC Attending Torpedo Con July 23-25 in Los Angeles

Legendary writers and artists from the comic book world — including Donny Cates, Bill Sienkiewicz and Brian Azzarello — will be collaborating with Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) during Hollywood's Torpedo Con to offer collectors a unique opportunity to obtain witness certified signatures. CGC staff members will be on hand during the show to answer questions and facilitate the certification of Signature Series submissions, which are items signed by artists and creators in the presence of a CGC representative to assure 100 percent authenticity. CGC staff also will be able to accept completed Blue Label comic book submissions at the event.

The convention will take place July 23-25 at the Hollywood Palladium at 6215 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, California.

For Signature Series submissions, follow these steps:

• Become a CGC Collectors Society member. To join CGC, click here.
• Come by the CGC booth for a Witness to take you to the artist for signing.
• The submission paperwork will then be completed at the booth after the witnessed signature is obtained.

For Blue Label Submissions, follow these steps (which must be 100 percent completed before Torpedo Con):

• Become a CGC Collectors Society member. To join CGC, click here.
• Select “Torpedo Con" from the dropdown menu.
• Complete the CGC Online Submission Form and print the packing slip. Make sure your account number, shipping address, return shipping method and requested services are included on the paperwork. Important: Representatives can not accept a submission at Torpedo Con without a completed packing slip.
• Carefully pack your items. For information on packing, click here, go to step 4 and select Comics.
• Bring your completed package to representatives at Torpedo Con for express drop-off.
• All submissions will be transported to CGC headquarters in Sarasota, Florida to be opened under cameras for authentication, grading and encapsulation. To learn more about CGC services and fees, click here.
