CGC Video Games is attending the Midwest Gaming Classic, November 5-7, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Stop by booth #138 for some samples and swag!

It’s an exciting time at Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®), with its latest division CGC Video Games growing its team and ramping up development on what will be the best video game holder in the industry. To spread the word, Matt McClellan, Senior Video Game Grading Finalizer, is attending several upcoming shows, including the Midwest Gaming Classic, taking place November 5-7, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He'll be at booth #138, with CGC Trading Cards samples and CGC Video Games swag.

“I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at several shows that are coming up in the near future,” says McClellan. “While I’m there, I’ll be sharing the latest on CGC Video Games and distributing flyers and stickers, which may be collectibles themselves one day!”

Superior video game holder in the works

Meanwhile, back at CGC headquarters in Florida, the CGC Video Games team is working on a superior video game holder that is super-sleek, crystal clear and more protective than any other option on the market. So far, the prototypes are looking awesome, and soon, the team will be seeking collector feedback on the holder and label via social media. Follow us @cgcvideogames for updates and to eventually “grade” the holders and labels that we have in the works.

CGC Video Games has also started the process of building its video game database, with the goal of creating the most comprehensive database in the industry. That means conducting extensive research, recording variants, testing materials used to produce video games and much more — everything necessary to authenticate and grade games accurately, consistently and efficiently. If you have any video game databases that you would like to share, contact us.

“CGC has been pivotal to the comic book hobby and collecting community for decades,” comments Dan Allegra of MinusWorlds.com. “I could not be happier to welcome the company’s expertise and innovation to the video game realm, as it will make our hobby bigger and better!”

A highly anticipated 2022 launch

CGC Video Games will continue to grow its team leading up to a 2022 launch. If you’re interested in joining McClellan and helping to build CGC Video Games, apply at collectiblesgroup.com/careers. Positions are available for grading, receiving, verification, production and more.

“I couldn’t be more excited that CGC will soon be offering grading and authentication services for video games, especially considering the level of video game knowledge and expertise that Matt McClellan brings to the table — I can’t speak highly enough of him,” says Valarie McLeckie, Managing Director of Video Games at Heritage Auctions.

If you’re attending any upcoming shows, look for McClellan to find out more about CGC Video Games. Also, visit CGCgrading.com for the latest info and follow @cgcvideogames on social media. More announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
